Make sure the yacht is clean, neat and organized as it makes it easier for the surveyor. Besides first impressions can be important.
The yacht's captain and engineer along with any crew available should
be onboard in order to answer any questions or assist the surveyor if needed during the inspections. Of course, this is not mandatory but
is very helpful and helps the survey go a little smoother and faster.
Make sure that all relevant documents and certificates are onboard and current. The surveyor will need to see the documentation and/or registration papers along with any documents for any tenders, PWC's or motorized vessels onboard. (PWC - personal watercraft)
Any and all construction drawings or manuals that can be provided
should be onboard as they may be needed to be seen by the surveyor.
